NOC Forum for the Presidents of the National Oil Companies (NOCs) was established in 2001. Designed specifically for chief executives of the NOCs, the very first gathering was hosted by Algeria in 2001, followed by Norway in 2002, Brazil in 2004, Saudi Arabia in 2006, China in 2008 and Mexico in 2010.
Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) and Ministry of Economy and Energy of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) signed a “Petroleum Services and Production Sharing Contract” for onshore and offshore licences on November 2, 2011.
TPAO and Shell signed a Farm-in and Joint Operating Agreement (“FJOA”) covering offshore Antalya licenses AR/ TPO-XVI/4154, AR/TPO-XVI/4319 and AR/TPO- XVI/4320, on November 23rd 2011.
On June 5, 2011, on behalf of Turkey, TPAO President and CEO, Mr. Mehmet Uysal, on behalf of Iraq, General Director of the Petroleum Agreements and Licenses Sec., Mr. Abdul-Mehdi Al-Amidi and representatives of Kuwayt Energy Corporation and South Korean Kogas Company signed a Development and Production Service Agreement in Baghdad.
TPAO and its partners PETROL OFİSİ, TIWAY, FOINAVON Energy Inc. companies obtained their “Black Sea Akçakoca Operating License” from the General Directorate of Petroleum Affairs and it was published in the Official Gazete No. 27940 dated on 21 May 2011, entered into force.
Within the scope of Joint Operating Agreement between TPAO and EXXONMOBIL on 19 November 2008, Kastamonu-1 well initiated to be drilled with Deep Water Champion Drilling Platform on 23 May 2011.
